His father named Martin Luther King, Sr was a Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church and his mother Alberta Williams King was a school teacher. Martin was one of three children. After enrolling into College, according to The Seattle Times, "He wasn't planning to enter the ministry, but then he met Dr. Benjamin Mays, a scholar whose manner and bearing convinced him that a religious career could be intellectually satisfying as well." Later in his Early life, Martin Luther got married and became a Pastor. Martin Luther King Jr, was an activist in Civil Rights and began to make his mark.
